The Book Debut Post
Updated: Apr 21, 2020
Hey friends,Â
I'll keep this short and sweet. My publisher and I have been working hard behind the scenes. The time has come.
Casey Grimes book one, THE MOSTLY INVISIBLE BOY, is about to enter the world!
Publication date: April 25
Wow, that's this Saturday. Seriously, I'm having a little trouble getting my mind around that.
The book's available on Amazon, B&N, and from my publisher, INtense.Â
During a pandemic is a crazy time to do a lot of things...having a book debut is definitely one of them. However, after seven years of writing, multiple manuscripts, hundreds of queries, thousands of cups of coffee (I could go on)...this book is ready to see the light of day.
The book knows that it won't get a riotous launch, full of parties and speaking engagements, but it's ready to stand up and be noticed (at a safe social distance). Our hope is that a few kids and adventurous adults will read it…and tell their friends about it, and then a few more, and a few more… and those readers will cause an outward ripple of reviews with many stars.Â
If you'd like to help the book out, now would be a great time to mention it to friends and relatives who enjoy middle grade fantasy. Or people who might be willing to review it: librarians, book bloggers, Amazon reviewers, Goodreads users, etc. I have review copies available for those interested. All social media sharing is of course welcome and appreciated.Â

I gave my home page a splashy makeover for the occasion...as one does.Â
If you'd like to preorder a hardback, my publisher's site is the place to go. Paperback and e-copies are available at Amazon and B&N. You can also add THE MOSTLY INVISIBLE BOY to your shelf on Goodreads (and review it...obviously, right?).
Finally, I wrote a funny-but-true blog post where the book and I come to terms with debuting in these chaotic times. Several people have told me it's their favorite Casey Grimes blog post so far.Â
Thanks for traveling with me on this bookish journey.Â
Stay safe and sanitized!
